Nope never heard of it.. Did it have women with huge hair, Poison T-shirts and Cameros ?? Were the men rocking the mullet to AC\DC ?? Seems to be the past time around these parts. Along with hockey, football (steelers) and beer. Lets not forget pot & Lynard Skynard.. One jumping hillbilly shindig.

Nascey,

What part of PA do you hail from? I'm in Allentown. Rabid's in Harrisburg, Pantagruel isn't far from here. Kite is in the hood too. Suddenly I'm surrounded by forumites. Lovely!

that might be OUR intention, but I don't necessarily think that is the norm.

HOWEVER, I think those that do have longer staying power.

There isn't a basic question that the FAQ and Buyer's Guide cannot answer. People join to meet other absinthe drinkers and share their absinthe experience.

generally, newbies around here start off being ignorant, that is why they sign up. they have questions to ask. sources to explore etc. ignorance is not shameful, in the sense that you lack knowledge as opposed to intelligence, and intelligent people admit when they are ignorant. THAT is what I admire, and it's a somewhat rare quality.

Just cuz your a newbie somewhere doesn't mean you're ignorant. :)

Newbie is meant to be just a bit derragatory. But that is not to say that one has to taunt them or be cruel. Personally, I have alot of respect for people who can walk into alien territory and proclaim "hello, I am ignorant!" ...

LauraLaLa sez:
"I think newbie is such a derrogatory word! It should be something else."

How about Freshass Forum Fairysqueezin's Freak?
Or 4F.
