Wrong time indeed. The place was created, for me anyway, very early on in the game. Following behind my little initiative I had the jeers of half the forum - I'm still wondering about the real reason for that. I think my intentions may have been misread.
But anyway, some things deserve a second chance. |

Well, the chat room worked for a while but it devolved to just me and Justin, chatting it up about this and that. Jay da Imp and Doc. O popped in ocassionally. And Head got offended because I found him boring. |

I drank three glasses of NS 70 and one glass of Mari Mayans 70 w/in a 3.5 - 4 hour period one afternoon, and felt no wallpaper staring; did feel damn creative though. The next night I experienced wall paper staring after three glasses of NS, but I did drink them in a much shorter time period (~2 hours). For the first little while I felt really creative and could not write fast enough, but after getting halfway through the three glasses, I still had all these thoughts in my head but I could not write more than a few words without staring at my carpet for about ten minutes.
I felt the same sort of thing after 3 glasses of Absente one night, but less intense and I felt more drunk than with the NS.
5 glasses of Ricard one night also gave me the same feeling, and I felt less drunk than with the Absente.
I can't drink more than 2-3 glasses of Old Way because I feel really wierd and defintely stare at nothing. When I lay down after Old Way I feel like I do after drinking a whole of 40 of Olde English. My vision kind of moves despite the fact I'm focusing on one thing, but I don't feel sick to my stomach.
Crowlyman, to answer your question I think it really depends. It depends on mood, whether your physically tired, if you've eaten, how much absinthe you consume and in what time frame, herbal content (not just wormwood either, but the whole selection of herbs) and alcohol content. |

La Fee will do the trick for me everytime, I'm a pig though, I only dilute it about 1:2, after 3 of those I'm squoze. |

No, the Spanish don't taste all the same. Only common point is lot's of (star) anis, except for Segarra.

Yeah, I was considering ordering eihter some LaFee, or some various bottles from SC, or even from Wolvie. I just shot Wolvie down because of the NYC GT(what does GT mean?) and I want at least a few bottles to last me awhile.
Brain dead over this decision. The way I have read about things is that most of the Spanish taste similar to each other while all the others vary quite a bit. I think its either LaFee or maybe something I hadn't considered as of yet. |

I don't know if you read the posts I typed when I was drunk off my ass on La Fee (8 shots.), but that fucked me up righteously so. Also worked like a liquid viagra. Got fucking annoying after a few hours.
But La Fee was cheap, quick, and did the job. So if you're game, go for it. Not the best. Not the worst. But it's something nice to compare others to. |

So, of the known and available absinthe to the forumites, which is the most 'wallpaper staring' like?
The only one I have tried was Deva 50 so I have no comparison. Also, is there and herbal difference in the higher alcohol content abs than the lower? (ie Deva 50 vs Deva 70) |
