anatomist,

I'm a big Zacharek fan too. She's from Brooklyn
and has a very fine-tuned bullshit detector.

It lacks the beautiful graininess, contrastiness and warmth of celluloid.

Well, the simple fact is, even the highest-end digital systems in use by cinema and photography now don't approach the level of data carried by film. Maybe in 10 years, but for now, digital is best left for smaller screens.

Jackson was there because he begged George Lucas to be in the movie.

I read that Cher is shooting for another Oscar!

According to Entertainment Geekly, Cher will be starring as "Head Crone" in "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Crones."

I agree, what was Smits doing in that movie? And Jackson was so obviously there as a token gesture.

Poor beautiful Natalie with that drone of a voice... doesn't belong in the movie to begin with. Maybe her and Kirsten can team up for the sequel to Bring It On?
