I did see the stem and glass globe of one up for sale a while back, but I never realised it had a chicken on the top - lol - more interesting than an acorn I suppose

Oh no, he's one of THOSE.

We have em on AOHell, too. Change names whenever everyone gets sick of them . . . or, in this guy's case, when people stop buying counterfeit junk from them!

I wonder why Ebay doesn't cancel his account, if there are all these negative reviews . . . and what's the POINT of having a review page if it's "private" anyway?

I've dealt with him. Once on purpose and once under one of his other ebay names.

Hmmm, Absinthemania is high bidder now. I wonder if he'll pay with counterfeit money...

I bet this will hit ten grand before it's done.

Hey, I wouldn't mind a moderate-to-severe case of TooMuchMoneyism, myself!!

Where do I sign up?

Perhaps you're suffering from absinthism . . . and maybe Wolfgang has TooMuchMoneyism.

Send your money to me, I'll hire Tom Philabaum (the glass artist) to create a stunning NEW, MODERN art-glass absinthe fountain for ya! It'll be a collector's item from the day it's blown.

Yup, he's a Tucson lad . . . a transplant, but he's been here a long time.

Here's some of his stuff:

The bottom one on this page looks like it could be the jumping-off point for a fountain!

Collecting is a madness. There's a saying about book acquisition:

A bibliophile is the master of his books; a bibliomaniac is their slave.

I sometimes wonder if I'm a slave to my own collecting.

The filter of time... is this a time warping machine ? Maybe it does have the power to make you travel back to 1900 !

Anybody here have tasted vintage Terminus ? Was it nice ?

This is the fountain that every absinthiana collector wants.

I'm amazed at the price, but with no "Barron's Guide to Absinthiana Prices" in existence to help out collectors, what can we expect? eBay is our "Sotheby's" or "Christie's"; unforunately, its results are often skewed by shill bidding.

What a wonderful, wonderful fountain.

Apparently part of it is magical as well, as "The filter of time is even present." The victor must let us know what this "filter of time" does. Sounds like something Lim-Dûl the Necromancer would construct...

Aside from this apparent curse, it is simply a wonderful fountain...
