Well of course I like it 5:1 but it`s up to you to try it 4:1 ... I like my absinthe to be refreshing, that`s why I like a bit thinner. |

FEH! The Campari.com website doesn't say what's in it. Couldn't you use Grenadine instead of the sugar (as if Serpis needs sweetening)? 5:1? That's not kinda thin? Sounds delightful overall, tho . . . will have to try when my order arrives. Well, after I try the Segarra. |

So there it is, I'm trying a Campari-piss 1oz Serpis65 1/4 oz Campari 2 snooty sugar cubes previously wrapped in a "Leonardo da Vinci, Dame de la cour de Milan" fancy paper. 5:1 water ratio It smells good for what it is and it louche the color of pink grapefruit juice. It taste like...A better Serpis with less anis ! Hummm... Could it be that the recipe for Serpis and Campari are almost the same except for the anis ? Every Serpis aficionados should try this drink... I am VERY surprised by the result ! |
