There's still some time for the pontica anyway. I cutted just the top of each plants to give them some vigor (and to use some very soon). We will see what will happen in a month or so.

By the way fresh pontica can be nice in white sauces for fish, chicken and maybe even pork. It add a subtle finish...

Now Artemis, will you post more gardener's pornography ? ;-)

I`m afraid we had similar weather. It was searing hot over here.

There was so many uncontrolled forest fires in the north that on some days the smoke blown by the winds was making a yellow screen that covered the Montreal région.

Anyway, last weekend I watered my ultra dry little part of the garden until it looked like a mud pond, that should help for some time. Most plants like the soil to go dry and then completly drown. The most common mistake I see around is people watering just in between, too little at a time without waiting the soil to get dry.

Wolfgang, I don't know about Quebec, but nothing is growing as it should in the Midwest of the U.S.

The corn is stunted, the pears are like little green golfballs on the tree when they sould be almost full-sized now, and many plants refused to grow at all. I don't think there's any place in the U.S. that received a normal amount of rain this summer, and the rain that did come, came at the wrong times.

Ok now let's talk about flowers...

I came to my father's place where I planted some nice and cute artemisia pontica 3-4 weeks ago. They are in good shape but I was surprised to see it so small... I expected faster growing but the very high temperature without rain didn't help... I'll take some picture of it in about a month.

I also have some in a big pot at my place but poor watering during my vacation wasted a third of the leafs.

Ha the joy of gardening !

If the customer has to hear about your mistakes, you're not doing the job...

And if you're talking about previous failures to post images here, that's an aspect of a firewall I don't have to get through today, asshole.
