I've been watching the flooding of the Moldau and the Elbe. The ISP I work for has customers in Dresden, Magdeburg and Hamburg. The Dresden customer was ok though the POP was flooded. We're expecting Magdeburg to see flood stage tomorrow. The river's wider and deeper in Hamburg, so they may be lucky.

Prague was pretty serious and kudos to their emergency crews for evacuating everybody.

I suspect the rivers were slightly higher to begin with, thanks to heavier glacier runoff this year. In the last few years there was usually one big rainstorm each summer and some flooding, but not like this, the biggest in 150 years.

You can force others to join by removing the "B" from their "God Bless America" bumperstickers.

I'm in the US, I'm not in Prague and that will teach all those damn expats! We've got plenty of flooding over here dammit, they don't need to be chasing it in no damn Poland or nothing... or is that Hungary? Fuck geography!

Well, the march should probably begin in the Cathedral ... non-denominational, I might add.
