I read an article a year or so ago about absinthe in Canada. HealthCanada determined that the quantity of thujone in Hill's was so low (and that it tasted so horrid that nobody would drink much anyway) that it did not pose a health risk.
Granted, there's still no proper scientific evidence that thujone, in consumable quantities, poses any health risk; if you read the "Final Nail in Thujone's Coffin" thread, it appears that anetholes are in large part responsible for absinthe's reputed "secondary effects."

In that other board where I post, someone had asked how to drink Absinthe, since they'd picked up a bottle of Hills at their local liquor store.
The poster was from Canada....
Has anyone else seen any Hills, or other brands, available in Canada?
