Well guys, after a lot of research I decided that the best value and quality would be Hill's and boy was I right. What a great product. I've always been an alcophile, but Hill's is something else. What a quality absinthe by people who love and know the drink. I would highly recommend Hill's to anyone. Its probably the closest you can get to the thing van Gogh and Verlaine drank in the Belle Epoch. What a brand. Thanks! |

Regarding secondary effects, I've learned that if I drink Absinthe every day (or night - as the case may be), the Green Fairy stops visiting my brain. As a result, I've put myself on a once or twice a week Absinthe diet. Now, the "secondaries" are as potent and present as ever, and I'm giving my liver (and my pocket book) a well deserved break. That having been said, I think it is the very idea of Absinthe that fuels it's consumption, not the effects. There are plenty of scheduled drugs afoot that yield a more efficient buzz. Absinthe is obviously very special, for what it is, what it was, and what it represents. The effects are however, a welcomed blessing. |
