I find myself wondering- like, there are gangs in New York right? These guys, between poppin a cap in some bizatches ass, yo yo, go to the movies.

Yeah. So, like, what do you think they think about it?

I bet they think "man, I gotta get me one of them hats."

I mean, I'm supposed to find a condescending nickname for myself funny? I might if it were actually funny. But, Marcykins? Comeon.

The funniest thing about this whole thing was my refusal to acknowlege the nickname and louched liver's mistaking it for a lack of a sense of humor. I don't find being patronized by some geek, who seems unable to put together more than 3 or 4 coherent sentences, particularly witty. I guess if mouthbreathing is considered to be funny, then louched liver is a laff riot. Try insulting me to my face and we'll see who ends up laughing.

C,mon Marckins. Here's your chance to have really, really "interesting" discussion. Deep and meaningful. A "smart" topic.

Yes indeed they do, my Guru of Movie Trivia. I remember it well.

Also, Robert DeNiro's mohawk in "Taxi Driver" inspired Strummer's mohawk which presumably inspired all those other punk mohawks. It's the circle of life.

pata,

and The Clash, as a bunch of street punks, make a brief appearence in KING OF COMEDY.

In an attempt to find synergy between threads, let me point out that Scorsese lined up The Clash to do the soundtrack for his first attempt back in 1977. Strange but true.

Christmas day with mom and we go see Gangs of New York. Mom said it was too bloody! I say it wasn't bloody enough. As usual Cameron Dezi was just awful. Leo, well, Leo is Leo in this one. But Dan D.Lewis is great in this one! A true villins villin. A villin you could be proud of. If you cut out the love story in this one you would have a better film. And a lot shorter.
