Yer got something too. I guess I was subconciously trying to make my own Segarra by way of the Nestle Toll House.

But if you cook some absinthe macerated snails with it, it will taste a lot more Oth-en-teek than if you use Pernod pastis !

That being said, I still believe Segarra is the best to go with rubbery kind of food like oysters or snails... because of the butterscotch like taste ;-)

If you eat a big fuckin' handful of butterscotch morsels right before you drink AbsAuth #18, it still tastes like absinthe, just not so Oth-en-teek.
Will work for absinthe.
