Hey Wolfgang, Has moonman seen this image before? I don't know how many people out there have seen it. I just saw it a few weeks ago, and thought it was great. Who's ever heard of J. Chemin Fils though? I can email you a higher quality image of it if you would like. I can only cram 50 bytes into an image in order for it to post on the forums correctly.

Why did that guy had to use an alias that is so close to my nickname ?! His bad reputation is importunately and unfairly staining mine and Moonman`s liquid space business. Hopefully those who already drink Moonman`s elixir can`t care less ... |

Heh. Headly, damn it! The names are soo confusing! It almost makes my head spin! Wolvie, Wolfie, Woofie! aghh!! I didn't know what wolvie's last name was, so I just took a poke at it to make Fener look better.

NO NO NO !!!! GEORGIE!!! LISTEN BOY LISTEN!!!! Wolvie is the foiled Absinthe creator who made off with a small fortune. Wolfie is our own little Wolfgang. Mild mannered poster. WOOFIE BONDEROSI is the Flatrock version of Alfred Jarry. WOOFIE is the author of THE BOOK of WOOFIE. He's master of misheard words and spontaneous definition. He's got nothing to do with this Forum. Except for the part where I go on and on about him with the same loving consideration that a 13 year old boy does about his scatalogical adventures as the neighbor girl runs convulsing and screaming for her big brother. WOLVIE = BAD WOLFIE = GOOD WOOFIE = WHAADDAYAHTOOKIN'ABOOWT?????

Drbeer, Emile 68, L'blanc, and Sapin are all delicious. Emile 68 has a very exquisite, full bodied herbal taste, although the louche isn't all of that wonderful. L'blanc has a better louche with colder water. All of those can be purchased via the distiller at www.absintheonline.com. Even their 45 Pernot is very, very good, if you don't mind the lower alcohol content, and can be purchased via Markus over at www.lafeeverte.de. To be honest, I prefer any one of the Emiles even over La Bleue #3. >-I AM TROLLING FOR WALLEYE*> >--walleye-/*> >----walleye--/*> |

Yes. Wolvie, or a.k.a. Wolfgang Fener, is not to be confused with Woofie, a.k.a. Woofie Bonderosi. >-I AM TROLLING FOR WALLEYE*> >--walleye-/*> >----walleye--/*> |

Point of information: you are speaking of WolVIE, not WolFIE... the former is a crook (or the pseudonym of a crook) and the latter is a term of affection for our own friendly space traveller, absinthe connoisseur and Friend of the Moonman. Yes, Wolvie and/or Andy ripped me off too, and no, I have no news of him. "Drink accomplished what God did not." --Marguerite Duras |

DrBeer, I noticed you mentioned Wolfie . . . Just want to be sure you're aware that he's no longer in business, but may well be happy to continue accepting payments . . . He who would sacrifice liberty for security deserves neither.

Speaking of Jade...last night while watching Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, I had a vision for a new version: "Henri-Louis & the Absinthe Factory." Put him in a green velvet coat instead of purple, with green fairies working the factory instead of Oompa Loompas. And at the end, Mr. Pernod gives the factory to a little boy named Ted so he can carry on the legacy. Then they fly off in a giant absinthe fountain with Pontarlier disappearing below... |

Curioser and curiouser... I was really looking forward to trying Jade too. Ahh well... Well I've read the review for Un Emile 68 and I'm dying to try it. I got a bottle of la bleue from Wolfy from last summer and while it is quite good, there is a bit too much of the anise for my taste (I dislike most Spanish and especially Czech absinthe so I generally just stick to Swiss la bleue). I prefer a very dry, rather spicy absinthe rather than the licorice and it seems the 68 might be up my alley. I will definitely have to order myself a bottle and soon! |

Hello all! I have been gone for more than a year. I'm not sure if any here remember me, but that's quite alright as I'm not a very memorable fellow. I had some things to do so I wasn't able to follow this website. My much has changed! So I've been reading through some of the posts. Can anyone tell me if Don Walsh has finished his little experiment or if that is still brewing in his labs? What is this Un Emilie I've read about? |
