Yep, those are Ted's. The same picture is on this very site in the "Historic Brands & Publicite" section. Cormenier est un baiseur de mère! "Please pardon our appearance while we are levitating..." |

my french wife has certain doubts about the true frenchosity of the person who wrote this e-mail response, but it is a thing of beauty...the bottles in the photo on his site are not his, nor do they reside in france. |

It appears to be authentic. Whether it is or not is another story...Actually, I think a Lyonnais glass is similar in appearance to a reservoir glass, but with no reservoir at all. In other words, the part that would normally be the reservoir is solid. As far as circular indentations, I think that's just an added frill, as it seems some have them and some don't. Then again, I don't know for sure, as I'm not a huge collector of absinthe antiques...yet! Still waiting for that money tree I planted on the roof of my building to bear fruit... This one doesn't look authentic either. I thought Lyonnaise glasses had circle indentations on the reservoir? Or maybe it's sooooo rare nobody's ever seen one before. In any case, paying any more than $80 for a Lyonnaise glass is silly. -------------------------------------------------- Gretchen--"Donnie Darko, sounds like some kind of superhero or something" Donnie--"What makes you think I'm not?" |
