Putting myself in his place, I think I'd be seriously fucked. If your whole life is televised, if you have the money to afford anything you could possibly want, if your family is screwed up beyond belief as well as being world famous, and if you're surrounded by people for whom that life seems normal, you might not really be happy. It certainly doesn't sound like a satisfying existence. Nor might you be very satisfied with yourself, being world famous for absolutely no reason beside the fact that your father was a star. He doesn't seem too exceptional; he must feel massively inadequite.
It's not his fault he's been born "lucky", nor is his luck lucky in any way. Give the kid a break; I'd try to kill myself too. I'd much rather be here at Reed studying than in the public eye like that for absolutely no apparent reason.

You don't really want me to get into the psychology of being the child of a rich, famous, neglectful, drug and alchohol dependant father and living in LA amongst the world of pseudo families.
I just want to bitch slap both Jack and Kelley, but looking at their environment I'm not surprised at the way they act. The world is full of kids like that.
