I just ordered my first two bottles, and went for quantity over quality as well. I guess it is all subjective anyway. At least if you like the lower grade absinthe, it makes it easier to spend $100 a bottle later for the good stuff.

Un Emile 68% is about to go up in price. Buy before Feb 1st.

As for why it's better. Well it's tough to describe. It's got a deeper taste than F. Guy (although I love F.Guy). And it's certainly fresher and cleaner tasting than Oxygenee.

Since you are a novice my only advice is to try as much as $$ allows. Let your taste predict your direction.

Hi everyone, I'm a bit new to this so please bear with me. As a poor college student I can only afford one bottle to try out right now. What should I get and why? I've read many reviews touting Un Emile 68, what makes this brand so much better than say Oxygenee or Guy? Thanks for any advice you can give.
