For all you Nick Cave fans - see if you can find the album "Songs in the Key of X" in the soundtracks section - it was tied into the X-files show.

Now, play track 1, but hold down the "rewind" button on your CD player as soon as it starts. The timer will go back to almost -10:00, and you'll hear 3 songs from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

You probably knew, but just in case ya didn't...

Head prosthesis...
you can give it a listen before buying at
http://www.nickcaveandthebadseeds.com/

its slower and more reflective than the theatrical "lets get it on!" nick cave that i love so much. still its a good album i think. with Dead Man In My Bed and Babe I'm On Fire as my favorites.
give it a listen before you take this Big Mans advice!

If you haven't checked out the Raveonettes yet, you should. Velvet Underground, Jesus and Mary Chain, Sonic Youth, meet 60s Surf - all this and their Danish too. :-)

Hey, you can tell The Big Man that Nick Cave's hands-down all-time number-one favorite album is "Slow Train Coming". It's really true.

I got the review from
the Big Man on NOCTURANA.

He loves Nick but he said to save my
money on this one.

Damn, what do
I do?

The Big Man is hardly ever wrong.

Of course he is the Die-Hard Beatles/Bob
fan!

Wow, so I'm not the only one ...I never really stopped listening to Birthday Party since 1982. Nick has done some good stuff on his own, but nothing beats that whole package of parody Symbolist lyrics, reverb bombast, smirking pathos, Death-Of-Rock guitar, sufferable self-pity, mocking mysogyny, and Elvis-With-A-Monkey-On-His-Back vocalizing.

Your right Pata, Personal Jesus is great. He covers The Beatles tune In My Life, a Sting tune (I Hung My Head) and some of his own...It is truly great. I encourage everyone to pick it up. Don't download it, give the man some recognition!

And Johnny Cash. Have you heard American IV: The Man Comes Around? The cover of NIN's Hurt is just plain hurtful. Better than Reznor has ever done it himself. You can literally feel Cash in the song. Tears well up with We'll Meet Again, literally. The mournful joy of his voice in that last of last tunes....I hope he can do something before he finally moves on...

Here I am once again with some strange,
really very strange music:

An Austrian group called:
"Die Knödel" = "The Dumplings"
the title of the CD is
"Verkochte Tiroler" = "Overcooked (sic!!)
Tyroleans"
Like a mixture between alpine folk music
and Strawinsky. Absolutely amazing!!

And here is something for Vera:
The new QNTAL III CD will be released in
about 4 weeks.
