It's Just odd they would name something that children are in, with such a name that has a bad rep in society. In oakland we should maybe call our yearbooks "Shulgin's entries" or "Ahh, No seeds"

According to the Newman School's history page, "We offered coeducation before any other school in New Orleans, and we enrolled African-American students before any other local independent school." Sounds like a pretty good institution to me.

Oh ... and it makes perfect sense to name a New Orleans school's yearbook after one of the city's most famous drinks. Newman was founded in 1903, almost ten years before the U.S. absinthe ban.

The Upper School student newspaper is called THE GREENIE. As in green absinthe?

(Hi Head! It's nice to be back. I feel very sorry that I missed seeing you and Kallisti in San Francisco. I just didn't end up having the time to hop over there. Hopefully next year ... or perhaps you could swim down to Chile?)

Perhaps, since the school is in america, they should change it to Absente... but that brings up a whole other joke.
