The only problem in Quebec Canada is not with Importing absinthe but importing Alcohol. The fine for importing alcohol without permit or without passing through SAQ can go from confiscation of the bottle up to 25000$

Its fine, I have received a box of six bottles before, I live in Vancouver.,. Anyway, Absinthe is legal in canada because it was never made illegal....

I have a good friend who has ordered from SC and had bottles imported into Vancouver BC. He had no problems or hassles. His experiences actually gave me the confidence to make my first order (though I live in the USA). I would say, don't hesitate SC are a very reasonable, responsible and reliable source.

A few questions for anyone who has ordered absinthe in canada:

is private courier safer than regular mail?
have you encountered import taxes--if so, how expensive?
has anyone had an order from SC to canada confiscated, or other problems?

(p.s., i know someone asked a similar question and was referred to older posts on the subject. However, i was unable to find previous posts that answered these questions.)
