This simple parcel of information about absinthe hasn't sunk in with me yet. I took two bottles of absinthe to a party on saturday night and spent too much time near them, I think. On my way home, I fell off of my bicycle and onto my FACE! No real damage, but I look as though I have been in a fight. This mishap indicates an extraordinary level of intoxication for me, as I can usually cheerfully weave through the yellow dashes on the bike path no-handed after many beers.

I don't know if it's the other stuff in the absinthe or the high alcohol, but when I have had enough of it to incur a hangover it seems different. I have less nausea than a normal hangover and more headache. Also, I feel my overall energy level dramatically depressed for several days... In recent years, I have tended to steer clear of drinking enough to induce hangover, perhaps it is merely age.
