It isn't undrinkable, it just isn't anything like absinthe...

Ever since I discovered this forum everybody has always seemed to dismiss Hill’s as “piss”, “undrinkable”, “inferior” etc. When it comes the “inferior” aspect I certainly agree, but does it really taste that bad? Can an “undrinkable” drink be a commercial success?
I have found myself dismissing Hill’s in conversations about Absinthe on a number of times but it struck me that it’s quite a strange thing to do, as I have never tried it! How many on this forum has tried Hill's? Is it close to brands like Trenet and Pere Kermann? I have tried these and though I can’t say I’m found of them they’re hardly “undrinkable”. Come to think of it I take that back; Pere Kermann is pretty close to “undrinkable”… :)
The result of all this dismissing of Hill’s has only resulted in racing my curiosity. I just might buy a bottle!
