If you are talking about Genepi, from Chartreuse Diffusion, it's a gentian liqueur. Therefore, it is in same overall family of herbal liqueurs as Chartreuse and Absinthe and bitter-almond liqueurs. That is, herbal liqueurs originating in the Alps (French/Swiss/Italian/Austrian) in the last 200-300 years.
But that's where the resemblence ends.

So what's the word on this stuff? I gather it is made in the french alps and contains a variety of Artemisia. Anyone here had it?
