Selling an empty Oxygenee bottle is NOT the same IMHO as selling an empty Deva or MM bottle. Oxygenee is not available anywhere outside France - in fact it seems only to be available in small quantities in one small region of France. As someone who has ordered it by mail from La Vinoteque, I can attest that ordering from them is both inconvenient (they don't accept credit cards), time-consuming (they are slow to reply to emails, and do so only in French)and expensive (they will only ship by Fedex, not through the postal service).
Over and above this, the quality of the Oxygenee bottle and label is far ahead of any Spanish absinthe (or La Fee for that matter), and Justin has, not accidentally I am sure, left a tasting tot in the bottle.
I'd be the first to criticize the empty Deva/MM bottle rip-off merchants, but to be fair, this is not the same thing - I could well imagine that this would be an interesting item to a bottle collector.

and the person that bid on it is a bottle collector...I have bid up to 5 times what a Greek 15th century print is worth just to get a hand on it...bad condition with side notes..or even bidding like 4 times too much on that cunieform cone I got recently...all a matter of what you a willing to pay...

Yeah, but you *did* start it out at $10. LOL.

LOL...I don't need a empty bottle...and there is no reserve....

Should we add Justin's empty bottle auction to this list? LOL. Our very own PT Barnum.
