Maybe it helps if you've lived near Astoria, Oregon as I have (that's where most of the movie was filmed).

Corey Feldman was probably my least favorite part of the movie. The mutant was cool, the cheerleader was hot, finding a treasure map among the stuff in the attic of an old house on a rainy day (a lot of those in Astoria) is a kid's fantasy that rises to mythic proportions. I guess it's one of those "feel good" movies.

Since there are innumerable Goonies fans who read this board, I thought you'd like to know that there is a sequel in the works. LOL.

While talking to Fandom.com's Smilin' Jack Ruby, Feldman revealed, "There is a script in development...If that sequel happens I’ll be a part of it."
