I'll be kickin' at least 1 Fat Head Jackson into the pile. Hell that's less than I pay for my cable, and I waste, er, spend more time here.

Gee, I'm afraid twenty bucks might be a little tough...

I would worry that the antlers would rip the envelope. I vote for sending twenty does.

OK, Head's warning was a good one. We don't want to turn this into a telethon.

No minute by minute tallying, as when that poor widow from Escondido, CA sends Kallisti her Social Security check for the month.

But at the end, it would be interesting to see how many people (no names named) enjoyed this Forum enough to send 20 bucks.

i'm in...

By Verawench on Monday, December 03, 2001 - 03:54 pm: Edit

I'm with Doc.

Let's set a minimum donation. If you're gonna contribute, don't send change you dig out from under your couch.

I think $20 is reasonable.

By Chevalier on Monday, December 03, 2001 - 03:48 pm: Edit

The easiest way for us outlanders would be to pay via PAYPAL.

By Dr_Ordinaire on Monday, December 03, 2001 - 03:42 pm: Edit

Head, subscribers are a problem. You have to keep track of them, the money is taxable, the works.

What I'm suggesting is that once a year (like now) we all put a 20 buck bill in an envelope and mail it as a gift to Kallisti.

If we send TOO much money, Kallisti will tell us (maybe...) and next year we send less.

But cash on dee barrel 'ed ees fine by me, eh?

By Head_Prosthesis on Monday, December 03, 2001 - 03:04 pm: Edit

Hey Chico (stuff a some bills), I was suggesting subscribers.

By Dr_Ordinaire on Monday, December 03, 2001 - 02:26 pm: Edit

Oh, no, I wasn't suggesting subscribers. What I was suggesting was that Kallisti posts a mailing address and we all stuff a some bills in an envelope and mail it to her. Cash, no checks, no accounting.

If all the hardcore posters do it, (and a few of the lurkers)we will pay for the bandwith for the entire year.

If I compare all the fun I've had in this Forum with the crappy movies that extracted 8 bucks from me...the Forum is the most incredible deal ever....

I think Doc. O's got a point.

By Admin on Monday, December 03, 2001 - 01:18 pm: Edit

Oh no ... I would never ask for subscribers. I like it footloose and fancy free.

But if you want to help, please do your xmas shopping at:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/sepulchritude

I get a 5% kickback, and it helps alot. Will prolly put holiday button up soon.

By Head_Prosthesis on Monday, December 03, 2001 - 01:05 pm: Edit

If you made it subscriber based it would cut down on trolls.

By Dr_Ordinaire on Monday, December 03, 2001 - 01:02 pm: Edit

Hey, guys and gals, how about if we pitch in?

By Admin on Monday, December 03, 2001 - 12:02 pm: Edit

Sorry! My home access went belly up on friday and I've been incommunicado ... should be fixed for the nonce.

I think I'd like to pay someone lots of money for software or outsourcing of this forum. I'm paying $30-$40 bucks a month EXTRA for bandwidth on the forum these days. Grrr.

And then there are the nephews to shop for.

Now that we know what's not in the tree file, why not start telling us what *IS*
