Marc, you're leaving Vegas? I hope it's under reasonably good circumstances (considering). Anything in particular in San Fransisco? Well, I've got a few friends out there already, so I'm sure I'll end up there eventually. Good luck!

Seriously tho, Marc -
Kallisti and I will be most pleased to welcome you to our fair city. Do let us know when you arrive.
I think you'll find enough sin here to make Vegas look like a tuperware party..

String, I just sent this to Marcellin who was on his way to NOLA ... here's my TO DO list:
#1 stop: The Shim Sham Club http://www.shimshamclub.com/
nice nightclub with different theme each night. I like it cuz there is a
dance floor, but the main bar is seperate if the music is too loud, also
has upstairs and balcony for hiding.
#2 stop: The HideOut Bar 1207 Decatur
The Marquis of Sepulchritude fame is bartending
here now, tho I think the 2am - 10am shift, but he makes alot of the cd's
in the juke, so it's very slick. Marcy is the daytime bartender, tell her or Marquis that
Rebecca from SF sent ya ... you could prolly drop my name at both these
places with some results. hehe ...
#3 stop: The Pharmacy Museum (touristy stop)
just super cool: http://www.pharmacymuseum.org/
#4 stop: The Camelia Grill for funky food
super old style diner sandwich burger joint. 626 S. Carrollton
(Uptown/Riverbend on the St. Charles streetcar line, just after it turns
onto Carrollton at the end of St. Charles.
#5 stop: Coop's Bar & restaurant
Real good cajun creole on budget right down the street from the HideOut on
Decatur. My fave is the jamalaya fried chicken combo
#6 stop: Clover Grill 24 hrs
http://www.clovergrill.com/ best greasy spoon in the quarter, 24 hours!!!
super for breakfast.
#7 stop: The Saturn Bar
Address: 3067 Saint Claude Ave.
Phone: (504) 949-7532
very cool funky bar, outside of all the touristy sections.

I had a great time watching Candye Kane And The Swinging Armadillos.
Venus is the perfect place to go if you need to escape the atmosphere of the strip.
I got to briefly say hi to Marc Campbell and I got the VIP treatment from the staff.
Very cool. Thank you Marc
I will be passing through NOLA on my honeymoon in late March. I will ask for sugestions on good places to drink later, now i need about three days sleep.

Candye Kane!?!!? Shit dang, that would be fun.
Let me know if she comes around again ... I need to plan another trip down.
Or rather, Marc ... do you have an event calendar posted?

Try Gipsey's or Angles (on Paradise St.?) and look for me. I'll be the one wearing the leather harness and chrome cup.

there is a brew pub in Vegas called The Crown And Anchor.
I will be at Venus Friday night. Candye Kane And The Swinging Armadillos will be performing.
Ask for me and I'll take of you and your friends.

FOR STAR TREK GEEKS ONLY ---
I would recommend going to Quark's Bar at the Hilton and downing a few Warp Core Breaches. Then, make fun of the Klingons. That's always good for a laugh one night.

I am a long time member, but a rare poster. This Friday my buddies are taking me to Las Vegas for my bachelor party.
Any suggestions where to drink?
I will visit Marc Campbell's club. I think I remember from old post that its called Venus in the Venetian.
I would also like to visit any decent brewpubs if one exist.
Thanks for any ideas.
