Auntie-
You going to be around Nashville for st patty's day? I'm going to be there for the weekend rooting on the predators and getting stinking drunk.

Yep...We are going to probably camp on the site that night and then head back the next morning...maybe we can bring my friends car with the 4 little LCD TVs in the headlamp/headrests and watch the flick on the site...that would be a riot...

swallowing your soul,

Well, I'm glad you're making the pilgrimage. I'll want to see those pictures. However, Knoxville is just about as far from me as it can be and still be in the same state.

If I'm gonna drive that far, I'd rather be in New Orleans.

It is around an hour north of Knoxville.

Here are the directions, it is on private property so be weary...

DIRECTIONS TO THE CABIN
1.GO TO MORRISTOWN,TENN
2MAIN ROAD .
TURN LEFT ON INGLES(SUPER MARKET CHAIN STORE) ONTO KIDWELL RIDGE ROAD
PASS TO 2 STORES(AMOCO)
IF YOU SEE BRUCE STREET YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT PATH
3.TAKE RIGHT ONTO INMAN BEND ROAD
4.GO DOWN AND YOU'LL SEE A TOBBACO PATCH ON THE RIGHT. ACROSS FROM THE PATCH YOU'LL SEE BARB WIRE THAT IS THE ENTRANCE TO THE CABIN AREA.

Should be neat...only the fireplace is standing because some dimwits set fire to the cabin...

Then you will love this. I taking a pilgrimage to Tenn. this summer to the site of the filming of Evil Dead 1. We are going to see the ruins of the cabin, the bridge, and the site of the filming of the precursor to Evil Dead, Within the Wood.

Should be fun, will take lots of pics...

Yep, that is what the great thing about lovecraft, he is a kernal of truth in a complete lie. Just like my story.

Drbeer,

Just let me know via e-mail. There are some nice places to eat at around here, I will bring some brew as well.

I'll probably be in Jackson in a few weeks to have my wisdom teeth pulled. If I am I'll let you know and maybe we can meet up somewhere for lunch.

I especially like your use of Ubar, aka the Forbidden City of Irem. I was pleased when I heard of its rediscovery. Good work! Speaking of abandoned cities, I'd love to visit Leptis Magna when Americans are finally allowed to go to Libya. It's about an hour's drive from Tripoli.

On that Miskatonic U. site, I noticed some artwork by Nick Smith, a Houston artist. He did some really disturbing work in which airbrushed vortices featured prominently. He sorta disappeared, though.

Thank you blackjack, I like you too.

I am working on a real book to put up there, this has been one of my hobbies since I saw Evil Dead when I was a kid. Making fake eldritch texts. Once I made a fake treasure map and hid it in the woods near my house, now those woods are being developed into a shopping complex, I wonder if anyone will find them....

At any rate when the book is done and bound I will post some pics here...

All lovecraft fans let me know what you think. I am working on a webpage for class (big deal I know, but I can handle it). Here is my prototype, let me know what you think.

First check out a sample of my college's webpage..here for instance:

http://www.millsaps.edu/news_events/releases/october/miller.htm

Then check out my prototye for my site:

http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/Chrysippvs/ubar_millsaps.htm

I haven't corrected the grammar etc yet, but I think it gets the point across...
