The Fée Verte Absinthe Forum - The Oldest, Largest, Most Authoritative Absinthe Forum. _ Administrative News & Site Updates _ Update: March 30th Database Migration in Progress

Posted by: Kallisti Mar 30 2014, 11:16 PM

Hi gang!

I will be conducting a database migration today. Just doing a little background tidy housing.

The forum will be going down for as brief a period of time as possible. And barring catastrophe should only be a few minutes.

Please go about your business as usual. Sugar.gif SWAK!

Woot! You people talk too much! Having trouble due to the sheer magnitude of the database. This may happen tonight, may happen tomorrow night depending on support getting back to me.

Thank you for your patience!

The database has been moved!

Still being able to manage a database migration feels like having the boys at the meat counter flirt with me. WOO! I Still got it!

Thanks to David & Andrew for their patience while we worked out some isssues... like 321 mb database and 44 million rows of google spiders in the database. Eeeeee! Oh the perils of an ancient and much beloved database.

The new banner is giving me seizures, could you shrink it and put it at the bottom, or in line with the others? it makes the home look tacky and clashes with the artwork.

What he said.

It's not as if anyone looks at this site anymore. The banner ad is just the proprietor's way of shutting off the lights after the last guest has left.

What's everyone doing?

Posted by: Bruno Rygseck Apr 28 2015, 09:16 PM

I am trying to lose some weight by eating less and drinking less (except water). It's difficult. I have drank most of the (in my opinion) good absinthes I have. So at some point I will be ordering absinthe again. The banner disturbs me also, it really does not fit into the lovely design of FV. A simple link could be more efficient, anyway. Or maybe not. But I'm not going to give up beer, overweight or not. Or cheese. Or cocoa.

I don't mind that, but what about us?

Posted by: Provenance Apr 30 2015, 02:21 PM

Same as ever.

I think the problem is I gave up drunk posting, gratuitous insults and speaking in foreign tongues.

Posted by: Provenance May 1 2015, 05:42 PM

Either that did it or the banner ad did.

Thanks to the ad I know where to buy the best absinthe such as The stuff gets just awesome reviews.

This stuff rocks we're in the USA and purchased it for a party and it was awesome. We shot it straight and it tastes like liqurish and burned like fire. Definitely the hit of the party. I plan on buying more very soon.

When I think of FV's main contribution to the absinthe world, it will always be introducing me to Absinthe Antitoxin.

What is it with the Son-of-Artemis comment? Any relation to our Artemis?

Posted by: Provenance May 4 2015, 04:09 PM

I doubt even a bastard son of Artemis would say

The Green Fairy's wearing her army boots for this one -- and she means business.

Reminds me of which I'd almost forgotten about.
