It's on the shelf in my backwater part of Virginia, maybe it sold out in your end of the state Prol.
It's the best commercial absinthe on the market in the US in my opinion, and there are some decent absinthes on the market.
I don't know about the Euro market, I haven't had any recently but I'm sure some of them are very good.

Believe it or not, I frequently visit several ABC stored here and have not seen it, though I have put in a request. All we have is that shitty imitation Absente and Pernod pastis.

Nice label and I know they use the best herbs.

Hillbilly to the rescue, but holy shit. $55 for 375ml? I'm not sure anything is that good.

Too rich for my blood. My days of spending over a hundred bucks on any normal size bottle of absinthe are long past.

Specially when there is an American made Authentic Absinthe for about half the price…

Mt Defiance is as American and authentic as it gets.
Pacifique is worth half the price and costs less than half as much to make because it is made with commercial herbs.
I paid $36 for my 375 ml bottle of Mt Defiance, that would make it $72 for a 750 ml a bottle. It's the hand harvested herbs used in crafting Mt Defiance costing exactly 10 times as much as the commercial herbs used in distilling Pacifique that makes it a bargain. Not to mention it tastes divine, and the last 2 bottles of Pacifique I bought were undrinkable.

I'm still trying to get the stores to carry it down here.

Yeah, I arrived at my Mt. Defiance maths with shipping.

It certainly has a unique, and powerful flavor profile. "Very "licoricey" says the wife. Its got that in spades, with lots else.

Lots of herbs, with a good base that doesn't get in the way of that, and a little "something" I've not noticed in any absinthe before.

Yeah the shipping charges are a pain in the ass, but, that's just how it is. I wanted to try it, and am glad I bought one. I tend to reach more oftener for the single malt scotch and Irish whiskey than I do the absinthe these days. More of a kick in the pants than a watery sip, and a lot quicker to prepare when spare time is so hard to come by these days.
But this Virginia absinthe ain't no sissy. No sir, not at all. Nice and brisk, with a punchy kick that holds its own with any out there.

Still waiting on my order of the new Stefanoless Ancienne from Martin Zufanek to show up at my door. My only other recent absinthe purchase. From what I've heard, its better than any of the other iterations, We'll see, maybe.

The Andalusian anise in Mt Defiance is extremely sweet, the stuff has so much oil the seed is red, I can identify the taste of that anise when used as opposed to any other, it tastes like candy, the fennel doux probably gave you the licorice kicker, and the good genepi may be the mystery flavor.

Finally got hold of a bottle of Jade Terminus. Must say, I quite like it. I drain my bottles slow though, so we'll see how well it holds up now the cat's out of the bag. General consensus seems to be once open it goes downhill fast.
