Roman Wormwood is listed as Artemisia Pontica.


The properties of Roman Wormwood are similar to A .Absinthium but less strong.
Modern uses of A. A. and A.P. include:
An infusion of the dried herb is taken as a stomach tonic (1 oz. to 1 pt) It is considered to be one of the finest remedies for dyspepsia, gastro intestinal pain and poor liver function.
It is also antiseptic and will promote menstruation. Wormwood is an ingredient in Vermouth. A liquor made from absinthol, extracted from the plant is soothing to the nervous system, but damaging if taken for a prolonged period. The infusions should also not be taken continuously."

I think Pontica is used mostly in the coloration stage .
