I've just seen the pitcher at:

http://www.eabsinthe.com/acatalog/bartrade.htm

and gosh:

1. it's butt ugly (but then, de gustibus etc.).

2. I'd like *anyone* to tell me how you can pour a *very* fine stream of water out of one of those. I've never succeeded in doing so from a pitcher that has this shape -- I really need one with a conical (widening) top, so that you have a ramp on which to accelerate a trickle enough to reach escape velocity at the edge (and preferrably one with the glass that's not too thick, too). That or a fountain are the only things that work for me.

Or has someone managed to develop a technique that makes even these run-of-the-mill pitchers (that tend to deliver water in 10cl increments in my hands) practical for the act of "étonner son absinthe"?

Au contraire, mon frere, that pitcher is intended for the only good use there is for La Fee, EYE OPENERS! Notice how it looks very similar to a coffee pot? They're telling you subliminally to mix La Fee w/ coffee...

As a side note, another disgraceful pitcher is PEDRO MARTINEZ!

If that old fart Zimmer had stayed in the dugout where he belonged, Pedro wouldn't have had to roll his fat ass across the field.

He tumbled to the ground like someone in one of those fake Sumo wrestler suits. Not that I generally condone beating up on the elderly but that was pretty entertaining.

I've just got a nice stainless steal pitcher that looks like a cross between an old milk jar and a watering can for plants (imagine a milk jar with an handle on one side an a long fine tubular nose on the other side from which the water flows. The opening is large enough to add ice cubes and there's enoug water in there to make 4 absinthes. Happy me.

The artistic value of the tool is questionable but it works fine.
