My TV pretty much stayed on MTV circa 1981. Most of those videos don't pass the test of time. I don't know about "selling the song", but it's nice when the video enhances the story.

Agreed. J'sA is true art rock. Whatever the F that means. But I think The Shoes video makes people feel something, which is rare nowadays, in music videos or anyplace else.

Andrew Bird, damn I was there and I missed this guy. I had not heard of him and there was so much to choose from, and It would be more of a shame if he was on at the same time as Bright eyes which I no longer like and put on one of the worst stage performances I have ever seen.

I'm looking thru I-tunes and realizing I hate a lot of what is on it: my taste has changed. I'm going to erase a lot of it. Can anyone recommend some good 60's soul. Also can someone recommend some jazz that might be interesting: I like a lot of the transition from big band to quartet. Help a man out!

Again something from 30 years ago. I was working in a factory at that time and a TV show with Julio Iglesias was scheduled for one evening. All the factory ladies seemed to love Julio so we male workers agreed to check whether he was any good. The show was cancelled and Jethro Tull's Slipstream concert (I think) was aired in place of it and I was sold. Go Edwin, go! -------------------- På detta dricka vi åtskilliga glas portvin.
