just like you'll go off on drunken rants that nobody wants to listen to

I very much want to 'listen' to Kirk's drunken rants that generally speak directly to the spice of life. Not to be confused here with the spite of mice.

No, no, no, no. That's not it. Like I've said in other threads, while I don't condone bullying (unless I'm the bully), ya gotta fit in. This isn't the place to go asserting your first amendment rights, it's somebody else's board. And yes, while this place is generally in the public domain, I still (mostly) compelled to defer to those whose post count is in vast multiples of my own! abs-cheers.gif

The operative issue is unrelated to any purported "first amendment rights" or duty to "fit in." Rather, I am member number two-thousand four-hundred forty two and Mr. markyj is member number two-thousand seven-hundred one. By comparison, Mr. Crosby is member number six. The other individuals mentioned have also been also part of this conversation for years before either of us showed on FV's doorstep. It's a pretty safe bet that those individuals know a great deal more about absinthe than both of us put together. But if we PTFA we can learn. Let's give it a try.

Well, that's sorta what I said, if you take out the stuff about first amendment rights and fitting in, kinda. blink.gif So, really just the last sentence. But the point is, we agree that deference has its place, and were trying to impart that lesson to mr. mark there.

No argument there. I take exception to the petty bullying re: subjects having nothing to do with absinthe. One enters a forum in hopeful expectation of a warm sharing of information and opinion and steps right onto a landmine because of a failure to erase the quote from a reply or capitalize a letter? Pitiful.
This is the VERY last post from me that is not specifically about absinthe. I should have been done with responding to the baiting going on here earlier. I'm sure whoever feels the need will tear away at my character for a while longer...have at!
