Greetings Bonafide Ballers, Let me start by saying that it is an honour to be amongst the ranks and i look forward to many "stimulating" conversations about a wide range of topics, not to mention... ![]() I guess i could describe myself as inexperienced, inquisitive and oppurtunistic but then again that could be translated to young, dumb and foolish. ![]() Nonetheless, I am eager to mix with the crowd, as water mixes to the dream. ![]() I'm a diamond that is tired Of all the faces I've acquired We must secure the shadow ere the substance fades... No pre-concieved notions taken
![]() ![]() One thing for sure, is that i am in disbelief, as to the amount of popularity and i guess cult followers of this elixer. Seeing as i have only known of its nature for a very short period of time and have never tried it myself, i am amazed that it has such a natural effect not to mention its historical background dating back so far. From what i can tell so far, is that absinthe has had a tarnished reputation due to misuse from careless thrill seekers, which is a shame because the more i read and the deeper i burrow, the more i realise that this "magic potion" has far more medissimal, health related and not to mention natural well-being attributes than it is being credited for. Isnt it a pity that some people choose to take something so innocent and harmless, blow it out of proportion and put a negative spin on it. Then as a result it gets worldwide condemnation as a dangerous drug and that it should be banned. Although i am fully aware that Absinthe is not a Class 1 scheduled drug, unfortunately there are people out there who DO. Thanx for your time guys. P.S As much as id love to take credit for the poetry, it is an extract from a song written by Marilyn Manson of his newest album "The Golden Age Of Grotesque". -------------------- Im a Diamond that is tired

Hey Alchemist
I admit I have heard very little of Marilyn Manson but I like the bit of lyric you are using as a quote. Maybe I should try listening more, too.I have seen him on talk shows(I think he was on Politically Incorrect)and he seems like an intelligent fellow. I do'nt have much money, either.I may have to rely on christmas and birthday money for my absinthe, and scrimp and save at other times. From your descriptions, though, maybe that one glass a year will be more worthwhile than anything you can concoct.Maybe you can get those friends interested and they can go in on some with you. That's what I've done in the past, and another friend is interested now.We are hoping to bring in the new year tasting a couple of different kinds-so far I have tried Un Emile 68. Do'nt give up hope and keep dreaming in green.. ![]() ![]() -------------------- "Nothing matters." Ambrose Bierce

Ye Gods I feel stupid.
I read someone else's post and then confused it with yours and responded to the wrong person. I am so sorry. ![]() I got the Marilyn Manson part right at least. Maybe I should stay away from hard liquor from now on.I have'nt even had any tonight. ![]() ![]() ![]() the hat. -------------------- "Nothing matters." Ambrose Bierce
