A label in German on the back of the bottle states the following (roughly translated to bad English):
"Bitter spirit 68% Vol., contains coloring agents E-133 and E-110. Montana Perucchi, S.A., founded 1877, manufactures this absinth according to a new recipe with more wormwood. This enhances its taste and effect and the anise adds to balance making it digestible [?]. Manufactured in Spain by Destilerias Montana Perucchi, S.A. Joaquim Vayreda 12 - Badalona (Barcelona)" AVERAGE SCORE 55 Reviewed by Bruno Rygseck 2/25/2007 COLOR BEFORE WATER 6/10 Transparent darkish matte (no brilliance, neither gimmicky effects) mid green. LOUCHE ACTION 7/10 Quite a good louche, turbulent clouds are easily achieved by pouring slow. Some flakes can be seen forming in mid-louche which is nice. COLOR AFTER WATER 6/10 Light green, translucent. Could be thicker. AROMA 11/30 Before water, lemon balm, hint of wormwood, little anise, very little alcohol. After water, mostly lemon balm. MOUTH-FEEL 5/10 Oily, missing creaminess and other nice features but nevertheless of a drinkable kind. TASTE 13/20 Wormwood is in the front, anise behind. Dry, not sweet. OVERALL IMPRESSION 7/10 For me, it went down well. I have had some other Spanish brands and this is the best so far. Bruno Rygseck scores Montana 68, 55 out of 100 -------------------- Efficient but deadly
