Your life is sorely missing something. It's missing this brilliantly original movie.
Don't go to your grave without having seen it...

I saw a preview for it before Big Fish (which was sorely disappointing on several levels...) Looks pretty. Does it manage to sustain a narrative or is it primarily a visual treat?

DD, I see the movie is finally out. Alpha Soixante put a link to the preview in another thread a little while ago. It is a cartoon or something? (at least the preview page was a cartoon.) Anyway, is it really that good or are you being facetious? I'm just not sure with you sometimes. If it is good I will go see it. But I don't want to waste the dough if I don't have to. Thank you.

Yes, it is really that good and no, he is not being facetious.

No stop asking questions and go see the damn movie.

(And yes, the narrative holds together (and may even be considered gripping) for its full 80 minutes. And yes, it is a visual treat as well.)

p.s.-it's only 80 mins? Is it a cartoon or a movie or a movie cartoon? Please elaborate.

It is an animated feature-length movie. But don't think 'Lion King.' There is almost no dialogue at all, and the heroine is a short, round, dumpy middle aged grandma.

The only thing that might compare with it is the 'Wallace and Gromit' series. Those are different and somewhat more slapstick, but the direction is similar.
