Lighter and slower than in regular Bovet

More blueish than expected.

Herbal with some anethole buddies nuance

MOUTH-FEEL 6/10
Harsh, something adds the acid like feeling

TASTE 12/20
Wormwood and some other nice happenings, it is tasty, more absinthe than anisette unlike some of les bleues, still the harshness is something I am not so fond of and it is the factor for low score.

OVERALL IMPRESSION 6/10
The regular Bovet is better and smoother. Dear Willy, eliminate the harshness and it will be a nice and worth sipping absinthe.

COLOR BEFORE WATER 10/10
Clear.

LOUCHE ACTION 8/10
Proper, turbulent, oily on surface.

COLOR AFTER WATER 8/10
Opaque white, slightly grayish.

AROMA 21/30
Before water: Herbal with some alchol aroma; not emitting much before water is added.
After water: Crisp and clean, anise-inclined; I find some interesting fruity or berry-like component.

MOUTH-FEEL 7/10
Quite nice, if you do not overdilute it (this is 65% and not the "regular" La Valote Bovet which is 54%)

TASTE 13/20
Only "OK" compared to the La Valote Bovet 54% -- but again, proper dilution ratio is important. Anise dominates, but the anise-sweetness is lower than the thick louche would indicate.

OVERALL IMPRESSION 7/10
This is a good la bleue absinthe in my opinion, maybe one (of the few) I would try with sugar.
