I don't know how other browsers work, but with Firefox, if you're composing a post, a word that's not spelled correctly in English will have a dotted red line under it, giving you the chance to correct it. In other words, there is a spelling checker. If you're not using Firefox, you're not using the best browser available, and it's free, so check it out.

… are you then somehow trying to suggest that these forums have been sacrificed and left as something little better than raw meat for consumption? Even in the elephant graveyard vital stirrings are still occasionally experienced.

it was not my intention to say what is above. My thinking was that there is a bloody relationship, wounds that came from a bad surgery of separation of people who in fact should be in the "brotherhood of absinthe"….. and those wounds bleed and even make newcomers to wonder "what in the world I am doing here…"

=> the parenthesis that just happened in this thread shows again the raw meat rationale…

Today I was sick of a bloody dirty game of Netherlands. The dutch players (or butchers) should not even be welcome by their own kind after showing that "style". The Final today was considered the dirtiest of the history of the World Cup, and at least three Netherland players should be expelled from the match today…

I think generalizing the situation like that is bullshit. The two fora have a common theme and many members in common. Maybe here we enthusiastically eat our own with gusto on occasion. But some of us quite believe in freedom of speech. Here you can continue to try and play one forum against the other as much as you like. People here are happy to share strongly felt and strongly worded opinions. But the fact is the two fora are distinct and different in atmosphere and style and the differences are about that. If you want to draw up your engineer's list of the pro's and con's of each and how you'd go about fusing them to create greater efficiency and synergy it's a fool's game.

Oh, yeah, Fee Verte members are better looking, too.

But Lounge members are the kindest to animals.

I knew it before the hidey hole only topic was posted.

it seems to me, that the last 10 - 20 posts, should be within parentesis ?

I haven't got a clue about what a "parentesis" is. Obviously, you can't mean a parenthesis, because they usually come in pairs (of parentheses).

Was that ass-hatish enough for you, Donnie?

in Mathematics, when you put an expression within parenthesis that means the expression must be evaluated before anything else.

In writing, when you put something within parenthesis, it means it is usually outside of the context and must be thought separate from the main topic.

----Whatever you have been discussing, I did not get a clue, if someone really died or not, and why in the death of someone others would make comments that are not in the context…..

in my College years, talk like this would simply mean that I "missed a class" and have no clue what the students are talking about….

or what I said before, if you have private room conversations, just keep private, because mortals like me do not understand the Language of God.

sure, paresis is not a joke for me.

I lost the movement of my right pinky finger after a Capoeira fight competition last April in Tucson, Arizona. After two surgeries, my finger is not moving…. so paresis is not a joke for me.
