We need to change the pork-chop filter to Stilton or rarebit.
I have vivid dreams when I don't drink. Kicking any habit throws me into a somnambulistic state of ecstasy.
I always did walk and talk in my sleep but nothing compared to when I short myself of any habituals.

QUOTE(Donnie Darko @ Dec 17 2011, 03:40 PM) *
I had a dream that I was eating a pillow and when I woke up my giant marshmallow was gone.

I had a dream like that once but I woke depressed, feeling down in the mouth.

'On St. Luke's Day, take marigold flowers, a sprig of marjoram, thyme, and a little Wormwood; dry them before a fire, rub them to powder; then sift it through a fine piece of lawn, and simmer it over a slow fire, adding a small quantity of virgin honey, and vinegar. Anoint yourself with this when you go to bed, saying the following lines three times, and you will dream of your partner "that is to be":
"St. Luke, St. Luke, be kind to me,
In dreams let me my true-love see." '

--------------------
'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more.'

'While Wormwood hath seed get a handful or twaine
To save against March, to make flea to refraine:
Where chamber is sweeped and Wormwood is strowne,
What saver is better (if physick be true)
For places infected than Wormwood and Rue?
It is a comfort for hart and the braine
And therefore to have it it is not in vaine.' Tusser 1577

Same flavor as well.

Indeed.

If only it louched.

Pre-ban Nyquil did.

That's all very nice, but now it's time to get to sleep and rest and try to wake up betterer in the new year.

Here in the states it's just sundown and the drinks are lined up. A healthy and happy year to all.

I think I can contribute some hard evidence to the conclusion that , yes, absinthe definitely enhances one's memory of dreams the next morning.

I have been off the fairy for years. Only recently did I start again and had some "Pacifique". That night, I dreamed some vivid and wacky dreams, but the next morning I knew I had because I could remember them well. I couldn't tell you now what they were, but the next morning I could have. Probably like all things, unless you drank half a bottle your body builds up the tolerance and most here who drink on a regular basis may not be able to tell the difference one way or the other.

Sometimes I wake up because I rolled over on something wet.

And then I know I had a dream.
