Better to go to The Roosevelt Hotel and enjoy the Sazerac Bar, over the Old Absinthe House for a Sazerac.
The original bar and fountains at the O.A.H., are on the side where the restaurant is and not always open, the tourist side is loud, and full of football helmets.

If you go to the side with the original old fountains, and ask…they will louche one from the working old fountain.

All in all I like the Sazerac Bar better for cocktails.
