Hiram:

Beautiful presentation...

Just one slight quibble...by stirring up the absinthe, you seem to have caused the louche to slightly degrade... shock.gif

Oh well, still looks fantastic and yummy!!! w00t2.gif

It was either that or the blender.

absintheglass2.gif first post here...just wanted to say that i just tried my first absinthe (un emile 68) two nights ago...and let's just say that tonight is my 3rd night in a row imbibing! i had 3 glasses the first night, 4 last night, and i'm going to go pour my 3rd (and final) one of tonight. as a singer/songwriter/pianist, i find the green fairy to be very inspirational thus far!

thanks!

Well, let me say Welcome on behalf of the Coza Noztrilla. It sounds like there is no reason to say READ THE FAQ as you seem to have made a excellent first choice and haven't mentioned winnie.gif at all. Well done, and don't be frightened by some of my Bruddahs, some may censored2.gif ing sheep as we speak but that in no way applies to the rest of us. Most of the bruddahs are well informed imbibers, and all around great guys. Your next bottle should really be some Fougerolles from LDF, I don't think anyone would disagree with me on that.

Rockstar68:

Welcome indeed...and I will second EVERYTHING my Cozy Noztrilla Bruddah said!!!

I will also add that your use of the E.A. Poe avatar brings a tear to my nostalgic eye, since that was used exclusively in here by my dear friend and co-19th century fanatic, Felis Catus, a sweet woman who seems to have deserted us. no.gif

Oh well, Rock on, Rockstar, I didn't mean to get all sappy on ya.

Cheers!!! absintheglass2.gif absintheglass2.gif absintheglass2.gif

So Hiram!

That last photo,
Is that an ice cube floating in there?

If it is... There's somewhat of a TABOO about
adding rocks in the mix. Personally, I don't mind.

Personally, I don't think a gentle stir ruins the louche...really, would it not help it as it helps blend everything in a more thorough fashion?

EVERYTHING? Awww... I'm way past sheep nowadays... Hell, even your wife knows that! But yes, the first thing I thought of when I saw that avatar was Felis...

Rockstar68: Welcome. And whatever they all tell you, it's a lie. Everything except the fact that Verte de Fougerolles is THE one. Oh, and your next purchase should definitely be the White Fairy...! Yes indeed!
