This certainly is a fickle bunch.

Still laughing at that one.

Yes, but the Kubler 53 is comparable in price to the Verte. Which do you prefer? I have yet to sample the 53, although I think I may remedy that soon enough.

I'd say that Kübler is a way better product. The flavours are better balanced and more subtleties come through.

That's not quite the same as saying that I prefer it hands down. Sometimes the somehow simplistic, but full-bodied herbal punch of the Fou Verte is just what I feel like drinking. I prefer to have them both around as affordable everyday drinks.

So it goes.

Hmmm. Maybe we can organize something for LCLF'04 as well.

$250 is too rich for my blood, but if we could drum up a few members. w00t2.gif

this might be way off base, but depending on where you guys host this, i may be able to attend 2006's…i missed 2005's by 2 days, had no idea it was going on & had no idea it was so near me…otherwise, i would have JUMPED on this.

please contact me should something like this be in the works again…

thank you…

Actually, yesterday I had a glass out of a bottle from the very first batch. Before they altered it… I must say that it had improved quite a bit from when it was new.

Today, again - there are better absinthes available but it's hard to beat the VdF and BdF at their excellent pricing.

true, concerning pricing. good stuff, but has a peculiar flavor to it that i haven't really noticed in any other absinthe. maybe a hint of it in the one & only censored2.gif i've tasted, but i could be wrong.

i still have yet to try the BdF, which many seem to prefer.

out of the 15 or so absinthes i've had a full bottle of, it's one i would keep around for sure. how it rates against others -- it makes me realize i should review everything i've drank…

you're talking vertes vs. blanches here, but i think the kubler is a better-tasting, better-produced absinthe.

/me prepares to be walloped by 1/2 the board…

*edited here* apparently i should have read further down. i would have stood by the statement that "kubler is a better-produced product", anyway, but at least i won't receive the flaming i thought i would.
