Circa 1910 Berger?

Lucky octopus!
verawench
Nah, I think he's just swilling cheap wine.
Absomphe
That's a relief to hear, cuz that sure didn't look like a Cuban cigar he was accompanying it with!
Pataphysician
"You Frenchmen -- you're all hands!"
Artemis
Looks like a Gaulois in a cigarette holder. Is he an Apache octopus?
verawench
Hell if I know. I made him in the bathtub last night.
Artemis
You big tease. wink.gif

ouais!

He's named after you, sug.
Absomphe
Of course.

That's why I thought he was sippin' 1910 Berger.

I ran out of polymer. Damn canopic jars for Chryssipvs' accursed chicken mummy took up all my material.

That's what happens when one aids and abets that lunatic... evill.gif

Oh the state I was in while
sculpting the dirty monkey.

That's called a 'euphemism' folks.
Absomphe
poop.gif Crude, your Headship, very crude.

Grate to see you're still in form...(so to speak).
Pataphysician
I had a euphemism once. The doctor gave me a salve and it cleared right up.

Rent this movie:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045670/

There's also a lengthy dream sequence (a major highlight of the film) in which a luminous Williams swims with the famous cartoon characters Tom and Jerry and other animated sea creatures based on the other actors in the film. (Hilariously, Lamas is depicted as an octopus, which aptly sums up the man's on and off screen persona of an insatiable ladies man.)
Artemis
The red lips of the octopus
Are more than myriad stars of night.
The great beast writhes in fiercer form than thirsty stallions amorous
I would they clung to me and stung. I would they quenched me with delight.
The red lips of the octopus.

They reek with posion of the sea
Scarlet and hot and langorous
My skin drinks in their slaver warm, my sweats his wrapt embrace excite
The heavy sea rolls languishly o'er the ensanguined kiss of us.
We strain and strive, we die for love. We linger in the lusty fight
We agonize; our club becomes more cruel and more murderous.
My passion splashes out at last. Ah! with what ecstasy I bite
The red lips of the octopus.

Aleister Crowley

That print would give a blind man a woody; that netsuke - wub.gif
Pataphysician
Puts the "pussy" back in Octopussy.

Hoochie mamma!
Head_prosthesis
That's not really a compliment.
Ha chee wawa!!! (SP?) Is a compliment
of sorts but "Hoochie Mamma" is not

See: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?...erm=Hoochie&r=f
Steve
hoochie = slut

not a name you should give an illustrious and beautiful forum member.
Pataphysician

"not a name you should give an illustrious and beautiful forum member."

wench = http://wench.urbanup.com/529988
Steve
Difference being, wench is a name she has chosen herself, not an epithet she was called.

VeraHooch just doesn't have the same melody to it. Too.. Dutch.
Artemis

Epithet? I didn't call her anything, you self-righteous prig. Watch some Seinfeld to hear numerous characters say it when they're in a state of arousal about any number of things. But get a sense of humor first.

As for what it "means", it means I like Vera and I like her Octopus. I don't have to click on any websites because I don't give a shit what THEY say it means. Vera knows what I meant, I'm sure. The rest of you nit-picking net nannies can piss off.
Head_prosthesis
Oh...
So you didn't mean "Ha chee wawa".

Sorry about the misunderstanding, Asshole.
teeheehee...
Donnie Darko
You're just jealous because he didn't call you a hoochie mama, net nannie.
Absomphe
It could've ben worse.

At least Artemis didn't call her a Ho Chi Mama.
Pataphysician
I believe "VeraHooch" was the working title for "Versinthe".

QUOTE (verawench @ Feb 8 2005, 05:16 PM)
*sigh* I want a tentacle lover.

... Shining like emerald, and as green, a beautiful serpent stands before me. His little fascinating eyes fix me, and his body, still more shining in the moonlight, sways, as subtle and as strong as myself.

I dance again. I dance continually because his eyes have told me, “It is not harm that I would do you.”

Slowly he sinks to the ground. He curls in upon himself, but his gaze never leaves mine — and I dance; I dance continually —— .

From the abyss of the deep awaken squids. They cling to each other with their tentacles. Joyfully and lightly they run towards me, with little leaps upon the small white waves. O beautiful dancers!

Here they are; they surround me; they dance with me ——

Strange lights afloat that blind me!

With my eyes closed I wheel upon myself; and, as I bend, my hair kisses the grass, and seems to wish to melt in it. Lively I leap up to break the spell; to feel running over my whole body the electric shudder that they unleash.

Strange floating perfumes intoxicate me. Strange floating sounds tear me away, and deafen me. I dance; I dance, but I no longer know it, and my hair is now so heavy that it drags me down. Now I relax beyond reaction, for in the earth my hair is rooted like the grass. O dread!

Now I am rivetted to the earth. My heart bounds in my breast, that sobs so strongly that I think it will kill me; and of all that surrounds me I know no more.

Slowly the serpent crawls over my body. Softly he presses me with his rings, as a timid lover might have done. Then still more softly his teeth nibble at my breast. And now he has gone away as if afraid of his own boldness.

And now, mastering me, they only, the squids, dance a mad saraband around my body, whose impotent leaps revolt the vain. Strange sneering laughter floats around me. O to be able to tear myself from the damp soil! O to be able to cut off this hair that has betrayed me!

What would be the good? I am weary, weary. And now the squids, bended over me, fix me with their vast phosphorescent eyes, with eyes such as I never knew, and a long shudder of terror ripples my skin.

Now they resume their maniac gallop. . . . . But whence prowl these sinister sneers of laughter?

O if I could only fly!

One of them leaves the dance, reaches towards me his horrible arms. I shut my eyes in the hope of losing consciousness, and I suffer the rape of his thousand mouths, which one after the other kiss me, and leave me, like fingers playing on a piano. Now another advances; now another, and yet a third. Now every one of them plays upon my body, living keyboard, the most maddening sonata of sensuality.

I gasp and writhe, I shriek, I faint away...
Artemis
There was a time when Head would be dropping the risque allusions to popular culture and the going-over-the-head and subsequent nit-picking would be left completely to the humorless, self-righteous wheenies.

Ha chee wawa!!! (SP?) ...

Spelling: Ai, Chihuahua! An expression of sudden excitement, probably replacing the very offensive "chingado" with "chihuahua" in the same way we would say "dagnabbit" instead of "goddammit."

So you're calling her a yappy little dog, eh?
