If you could drink a glass of any absinthe, at any time, in any place, with anyone...

What, when, where, and with whom would you be drinking?

AndrewT
I'd knock a few back with Debussy sometime during his life. The details of when and where aren't important.
sea_of_lament
I'd drink a glass of Edouard or La Bleue at any time, in any place, and with anyone.

Van Gogh; in his room at the Auberge Ravoux; what he was drinking (aside from turps).

I'd love to pick Delahaye's brain over a few glasses of pernod, back in the heydey of absinthe.

Berger.

The when, where, and with whom is irrelevant, since in all likelihood I'd be a no-show anyway.
Jaded Prole
Berger with Fredrich Engels or Pernod fils with Lalique

I'm in the Closerie des Lilas in 1905, trying to drink Alfred Jarry under the table. Apollinaire is buying, so he decides what were having. The patrons are nervous around Jarry, so he pulls out one of his pistols, shoots out the mirror and says, "Maintenant que la glace est rompue, causons!"
Gertz
Gauguin, 1885, at the Café Bernina in Copenhagen. Whatever they've got there.

Gauguin hated Denmark, danes and everything danish, but he'd probably be OK with it, if I bought him a drink.

Jack, in Seattle, and I'm not at liberty to say exactly what. Except, of course, that it would be extremely bitter wink.gif.

Gosh - don't I sound unromantic today.
