I'm wondering about the price it will reach : http://cgi.ebay.fr/bouteille-pleine-premie…itemZ6220203230
Ari
I bet it would go good with Pepsi. w00t2.gif

Wow.
Marc
You can also compare with Oxygenee's bottle of Premier Fils here : http://www.oxygenee.com/absintheFORSALE2.html
Both are identicals, and Oxy says : "Sealed Premier Fils bottles are very rare, and missing even from museum collections in France."
It's already more than 100€ and IMO it will run over 1000€ very quickly… shock.gif
I'm curious to know who will be the winner, maybe Oxy himself wink.gif
Marc
I've tried 300€ but I'm still outbid by tom_fred_fr frusty.gif
sunsetbrew
i am not going to even try. sleepy.gif

Oxy is like a hot chick and getting laid:
He already knows whether or not he will own that bottle.
Oxygenee
If it's OK with you Kirk, I'm getting "Oxy is like a hot chick" printed on my business cards.
Marc
Price is raising up so fast shock.gif
hartsmar
Oxy… hot chick… I need to stop drinking!
Fredie
I wonder if it mixes well with Hills harhar.gif

Oxy… hot chick…

You know, some mornings I wake up and feel hot, other times I'm like: Hair extensions????!!! What was I thinking?
Kirk
That comment went poorly with my milk and cookies,
now I have cookies on my screen.

In my opinon, while the bottle itself looks authentic enough, I'm skeptical that the seller posted no pictures of the seal. The quality of the seal is crucial to determining the value of the item. Perhaps it was an oversight on the seller's part, but I wouldn't bid on that without seeing closeup photos of the seal.
Then again, I wouldn't bid on it anyway since I can't afford the piles of money it will cost.

And Oxy is like a hot chick. He has lots of extremely desirable stuff that you might get to see a little of but never get to touch.
hartsmar
I got a photo of the seal. It's dirty… It's not very easy to say if it's authentic vintage dirt or if it's just to cover up something else…

I think it's authentic though. It looks good, the level is ok, and the top/seal could very well be ok.
hartsmar
And after zooming in on that photo really close, it does look quite alright.

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Thanks. heart.gif

I'm sure you haven't always been alone on that score, Oxy.

No doubt Telly Savalas had the same ephemeral urges, from time to time, and then would gaze at his crome- domed reflection, and channel Arthur Fonzerelli…aaaaaaaayyyyyyy!!!!! chickawow.gif

I think I'll skip the antique absinthe and go for the antique spoon instead!

http://cgi.ebay.fr/Ancienne-Rare-Cuillere-…1QQcmdZViewItem

It even comes with a rare absinthe glass and topette!
Stroller
MerdeVerte listed that, I think he must be in financial trouble… Having to part with the set and all.

BWAAAHAHAHAHAAA!
Kirk
Ha!
The item is on E-bay France but the location is Huston TX.
eric
You mean Houston.
crosby
Don't mess with Huston.
Fredie
Why Not? The White Sox sure are! harhar.gif

Don't mess with Huston.

Would that be Carlton Huston by any chance? Heard he starred in Planet of the Chimps.
hartsmar
Dumb-ass pulled the item!
Marc
eBay removed the bottle, but it's still for sale if you wish !

I'll never understand the idea behind posting
an auction link for an item of interest to a forum
like this, especially if you have the slightest degree
of hope for placing a winning bid.

However, I suppose I would post it here
if I was selling it myself.
grey boy
You be sharp Mister Head!

Sharing… and it's not a common eBay auction btw…

Sharing…

No, shilling.
Oxygenee
I agree with Head.

Absomphe
I've rarely met a guy who doesn't.
Marc
My apologies (see Oxy's thread for more)

But please don't be rude with me…
I understand there are rules, but we are all here to share infos, impressions, exchange ideas, that's how a forum runs and lives. So I was being honest when I said that I wanted to share that uncommon auction, but I understand collectors' frustration now…

QUOTE
No, shilling.

I don't personally know the seller by any way, I was not advertising him or helping him…
Greenmeanie
You came across like you were either the seller or know him. It wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened here.

If I'm wrong about you then I sincerely apologize.
Marc
I understand that you have thought I was his complice, my thread was subject to doubt, but I'm sincerely not, by no sort.
So I accept your apologies abs-cheers.gif
