A taste of Head's stuff |
If there is enough interest in people posturing and whoring their art here, we can start a new section.

Wowee.Neato.
My faves are teapot and cheewawa. Those
eyes look right into you.
The Head Prophecies should be adapted for the
screen and co-directed by David Lynch and
M.Night Shamalan.I would pay good money.
(Disclamer-this post is not an attempt at nastiness-
I really mean it all.)
Dig that hole!

Very cool, Headly!
I'll have to post some of my actual works...my online art consists mostly of websites. But, Kal's forum is hard to beat.

Thanks.
I have a lot of stuff on slides but have yet to be able to transfer them to the computer with any amount of success. They always look too dark and fuzzy.
My stuff is still in Michigan. Carefully guarded by the eyes of Elvira.

All righty then !!! I am so happy it worked.
This is a picture of gentian , gentianella amarella [gentiana]the purple variety ,
more common around me. This is a cullpepper illustration, not mine. Now maybe I can post some of my stuff.
They are using the more rare yellow variety in the new U.E. in case you were wondering.

This should be A pic of one of my pieces.
this is a hand made original , my design. What makes it unique is , the knots are actualy able to hinge a little, just enough to get on your wrist and with enough resistance that it will clasp in back under tension.
I hope I am not boring you too bad !!! Want to see more?

Do you have a website for your jewelry?
I sold most of my jewelry years ago to pay for
10/$ Top Ramen and food for the cats.Oh,

I have a theory....
It looks like there are enough of us who would
"dig" that hole.I know-
I will have to get my scanner back, get some clear pics of my stuff, and try to figure out how to get them
on the forum.I am also not very computer literate,
but my father can probably help me figure out
which keys to push to get where. He built my
computer and is a true techno-geek.Thank
the Gods/Godessess for techno-geeks;there
is a place fore everyone in Nature.

This should be an emerald frog from '97'
it very small and emerald is kind of fragile so I could'nt get much detail. that last piece was bloodstone. No I do'nt have a web site. Either to busy or too stupid, still not sure. Both I imagine.

O.K this is getting fun, I am a picture posting virgin but soon to be a ...more.
This is a tsuba I made in the 80s for an apprentice who was a sword maker.
It shows Miyamoto Musashi the famous 16th century kendo warrior standing out side a cave , near a water fall, it's a copy of a famous original by an earlier sword maker.
O.K. sorry , I trimmed every way I can and it still won't post. I am A cave man, please remember.

O.k. Maybe this should'nt be in the art hole but to me it is art. The #1 milestone car of the 60s. After 63 every car on the road looked like this , before that nothing looked like this. Still imitated to this day but never duplicated. Bill Mitchell design , body by Fisher, frame off restoration by me. Thats art.

Why thank you, kirk. You've got some great stuff there. And in answer to your question, "Is it art?": "What is NOT art?"
... and Head, great trinkets! Minka rocks!
Maybe one of you needs to put up a primer on how to configure photo files. I thought I knew all the tricks, but I can't get anything decent at 50K.

Photoshop 5.5 and above:
Set largest image size width or height to 600 pixels (this is just friendly)...
"Save as web"... select jpg usually, 20%-40%. That will usually get you something very good around 30k. You can see the file size change by what percentage you have set before you save.
If you don't have Photoshop, get it.
Kirk
Nov 24 2003, 12:16 AM
I don't know any thing about it, I have a scanner[lexmark] and it has a little bit of photo handling in it. When I scan the picture[ Old fashioned 35mm, film] I can choose to have it displayed for web and low quality resolution, and I can crop it. If this does'nt do it I take the eraser and erase the back ground [ thus my crude cropping on the lobster etc.] That usually gets below 50 wachamicallits. This is the first time I ever posted , I was dancing and clapping like I was A ssuperstar, my wife came in and asked what I was so exited about; when I told her she laughed and said: jesus any 8 year old can do that. The thing is , I am 44 and I think it's a big accomplishment. She just agreed and walked away laughing.

Your drawing shows great sincerity and gets
it's message across clearly and succinctly.
(I am pretending to talk like an art teacher. )

I think it's neato.How about some T Shirts...
BTW I use the word neato sincerely.I am not
being snide.Once I learned my favorite director
David Lynch uses that word regulary I did'nt
feel so geeky about it,even though it is geeky.
I like your drawing.
