I am curious, has anyone any updated information on the Cusenier "See Saw" Brouilleur replica. When it would be available.

I hacked into the Frenchman servers and retrieved this:

That is funny SD!

Oglala, it should be available end of october, but could be delayed again if Phil does not get the quantities he wanted from the factory.

rofl. I want one! But I have to ask, will a 2 dimentional computer drawing hold water well? I mean look at all those holes!
JohnC
Having just visited the Vert d'Absinthe site I note that availability is now no more certain than 'before Christmas'.
crosby
I'm starting to wonder if Ted is the manufacturer. harhar.gif

Is this the one you speak of? or is this something else? Whats the benefit of the see-saw type? Other than is looks really cool.Click to view attachment
G&C
There is none.

It's just a fancy gadget to drip the water.

crosby
Mine makes me giggle.
G&C
I thought that was the alcohol.
crosby
I'm fine with that, as long as Jack's "finger" isn't involved.
G&C
Indeed!

Hey this is my Cusenier Brouille absinthe on this photo of my review of L'artisanale ! Can't stop myself using it each time I drink a verte :)

The benefits of the brouille absinthe are :
- dripping water left and right, mixing wonderfuly the water with the absinthe
- being very funny to watch
- making an amusing noise
- keeping the water very fresh

Hope the replica will work as well as the vintage one !

ahhhh... i remember her!

The Absinthe Stripper from Florida?
traineraz
That's the one. She came and louched my drink with her drippings one night in mid-table-dance.

Trouble is, I was drinking a martini.
Absomphe
Ah, but there are so many versions of the martini, nowadays.

Seems like like there ought to be room for one more.

That one sounds like it might satisfy Mr. Bond, being shaken, not stirred.
traineraz
Well, now I want one.

Not the louched martini.

Not the louching stripper.

I wanna see-saw! (Unlike a fountain, I might actually USE it.)
JohnC
Just ordered mine from Frenchman
The Standard Deviant
Thanks for that, John!
Oxygenee
They're now in stock at http://www.absinthespoon.com/absinthe_brouilleurs.html
Wild Bill Turkey
That's where I got mine.
hissykitties
Call me a dipxit, but the page is taking forever to load and me no sees the shopping cart.
hissykitties
This is so not fun.
Jaded Prole
Whadyaneedit?

I might have to get one myself.
hissykitties
Of course we don't need it. But we mush have it. yes.gif
Oxygenee
I just sent out a mailshot and have had dozens of orders in a very short time - this may be why the page is proving slow to load, although when I test it here, it seems as fast as normal and no-one else has complained. Possibly it's a localised problem. I'd suggest you try again later today - the first batch of stock should last for at least 48 hours, so you won't miss out of you delay a few hours.
hissykitties
I was beginning to think that the Internets didn't like us here in little ole Atlanta. I haven't the slightest idea what happened, other than we just kept getting caught up in some bandwidth quantum reflux. No worries though, we finally got through and made it to the finish line.

Thanks Oxy.

Dipxit.
hissykitties
I'm glad that someone answered my call.
Oscar
Funny thing is I still don’t see the shopping cart on my computer at work.
hissykitties
Prolly a good thing.
G&C
I was getting to the shopping cart on my PC but it was always empty.

I went to my Mac and all worked fine.
Provenance
All the shopping carts I see have been taken over by homeless people.
Absomphe
Hey, everybody has to live somewhere.

I hear there are NYC studio apartments smaller than those.

That is what I miss the most about having my own shop. When no one was in, it was my own personal toy store. abs-cheers.gif

If only there were no sugar that photo would make sense.
The Standard Deviant
So you fill the top up with absinthe, ignite, and it drips fire into the glass?

Ain't that the truth.

Seems to be missing a cube for function actually.

I knew I was doing it wrong.
The Standard Deviant
Perhaps that's why Cormenier's ones are so burnt.
thegreenimp
Cormenier's aren't burnt, they're just crusty cdog-plain.gif

Now just balance a fountain on top of that, and you'll have an altar to the absinthe gods.
traineraz
Where's the blowtorch?
Steyr850
Can't wait to see what Kirk does with these.

Add absinthe?
