Hey all,
I haven't posted in a while so I figured I'd get to it and share some recent louche-ographs…

Marvellous! Feast for an eye.
Donnie Darko
Wow, you've got some talent.

Reminds me of a bit of macrophotography, like things that Peter Parks has done, where they put one chemical in a petri dish and drop another chemical into it and it makes this gorgeous super-nova looking reaction.

Eat your heart out, Jack the Dripper!

That's the coolest louche-in-progress photo I've ever had the pleasure of viewing! worshippy.gif
moschops
That's very generous of you, Absomphe; so generous that I thought maybe there must be some topless women on the beach that I had overlooked. tongue.gif

Donnie, yes indeed, that's what these are--macrophotography(except for the space shot which was done through a small 80mm telescope).

Thanks for looking. I appreciate it. biggrin.gif

That's what happens when you use HighThujone absinthe.

Ultimate Bikini Remover?

This caused me to laugh.
The Standard Deviant
Yes, great photographs.
moschops
Thanks for all the kind words, folks, I truly appreciate it. I figured these would have only a limited appeal due to their abstract nature, so it's heartening to see they are being enjoyed. I have some film fixing as I type, so I'll post some more louches soon.

Sometimes I also shoot more "traditional" absinthe photos. For me the style seems a bit played, but at the same time, still hard to resist.

Here's one titled "Haha, She's Going to Drink It."
Cheers!

Those are some truly wonderful photos!

Very true.

This pictures are fantastic Mos! Thank you!

Please continue to experiment with these photos. Have you taken these Macrophotos with vintage absinthe?
moschops
No, I have only photographed modern absinthes with vintage cameras; but if there are any kind patrons of the arts out there who would like to donate a vintage dose, I'd be sure to send them some prints.
Just PM me! wink.gif

Wait, you can see that?
Blind Eternities
Sure, it's next to the skeletal face.
Wow, does this feel like Rorschach all over again.

Ah, you've joined the "improved" group of patients with computer privileges.

Sorry, this one's far too cutesy and all I can think of is the head on the ship discharging its waste into the sea. I could have laughed if your other images weren't so transcendent. Still, a wonderful macro shot, but the interpretation will have me watching my next louche more carefully to make sure it's only water.
moschops
Ha! Yeah, this was just some bored/silly/drunk photoshop doodling. I think the "Clamato & Bud" thread may have been an influence. Everything turned to bilge in my head after learning about that.

This really is fantastic. I'm loving these
babies. Never before has this kind of
photography expressed precisely the
imagery I've been trying to convey in
words all these years.

Cheers to you, Moschops! You're my new
favorite. Because, this is a brilliant pictorial
account of what my semen does in warm bath water.

moschops
Wow, Head, thanks. That endorsement really heats the cockles. Cheers to you, and happy bathing!

Wow, that last one is really incredible, a real museum exhibit quality piece.

I love it when Chop's hits his chops, true talent there.

Wow, just [drunkenly] stumbled over these, good lord they're fantastic! Thanks! Hope there's more down the line (bath water photos not needed).

Glad you enjoy it, Jerry.
Doctor Love

Wow really fantastic photos all, very well done and so impressive.

I can't hold a candle to any of these, but for what it's worth here is one of my newbie attempts at an absinthe photo, glass of St. George at sunset which had some interesting colors
