What is the best bottle to try first? i live in the usa, i hope to buy it online at a decent price, and pay a fair shipping price. And yes, before you ask i read the faq, neither question was answered.
Absomphe
The best bottle to try first is whichever one seems the most appealing to you after you've thoroughly perused the ABG.

What Stompy said.

Bored? Yes sir I am!

This, of course, is the ABG they were referencing.

This isn't a complete list of brands available in the US right now. Some available only locally, or regionally.

Lucid
Kubler
St George
Sirene
Leopold Bros

That's the best of the bunch right now.

There's also Grande Absente, Mata Hari (new), Le Tourment Verte, but they're not much like absinthe. The LTV I had was very unlikeable. There may be other brands available, but I don't keep a list.

Good luck.

My advice is to get a boittle of PF1901 from LDF.

Second choice, Lucid from DUNY.

No introduction yet, but whatever…

I'd suggest you Duplais Balance (it's also pretty low on the anise profile) @ absintheonline.com or absinthe.de

Introduction, 26, male, usa, hobbies = hackintosh

Wow! 7 posts to get an introduction. Don't worry, the folks here will hammer you into shape.

Go to DrinkUpNY.com and order some Kubler and some Lucid to start with. This will give you a verte and a blanch to try. This is your cheapest route to a couple of bottles of real absinthe. You can branch out from there if you decide that you like the taste.

For every
there has to be an equal number of
and no more.  Nymph, you edited out one
.

Thanks, guys. Although, I will probably muck it up again. Part of my nature. brain2.gif

You enjoy playing the "dumb blond" card, even though you're not dumb.

Ssshhhhh! It has helped me on many occasions.

Welcome digitallysick. Who are you, and do you love vinyl too?

It's a southern belle thang, and she kinda "grandmother clause's" herself in.

In reality, I was able to type only that sentence evill.gif, then the forum, computer and room started getting more and more blurred.

Tip: if you want to play the dumb blonde, you should stay clear of words like "oxymoron". Certainly if preceded by a flailing quote that shows an understanding of the meaning of the word.

I thought I had to worry about that type of thing only from the Scottish.
