Speaking of "Still Porn", I recently picked up a circa 1925 Savalle Catalogue, "Material Pour Distilleries - Catalogue E". It includes a full color "centerfold" of a four-story tall rectification still … just like any proper porn mag should have!

This is the company that made and sold the A. Lepage Alambics used by Courvoisier and Benedictine, among others, in the early 20th century. This cataglogue is mostly column stills and large-distillery items, including mixers, and colorator-like devices (i.e. mixers and dulcification equipment), pumps, fermentors, etc. It does have a small selection of alambics and steam kettles though.

Anyway, I just thought it was funny that this cagalogue was set up the way a modern porn magazine would be ….

Don't get me wrong, mthulli, I'd love to take that book off your hands, but now is the time to hand out money to people growing herbs so I have enough of them for the next year. And there is the upcoming holiday season which I must be ready. So I'll just have pangs of heartache until some time when I'm rich and famous (HA!)

So did anyone ever buy this?

Kinda related; I was digging through stuff today and found a signature on one of the Egrot blueprints I have for a filtering system… "Egrot." Dates to 1890.

Seems like I remember seeing a signature on the Vichet schematics, but I can't remember for sure. Oxy?

I would love to buy it, but I cannot. I'm saving my money for some copper slag that's been beaten into shape.
