Here's to the passing of the first decade of the century. While much can be said to its detriment, it is the decade that saw, thanks to some of the folks here, not only the rebirth of absinthe but the abolition of the accursed ban.
To them especially; to the core community who shared their knowledge and made it all possible, I raise my glass in thanks!

Well said. Cheers!

Cheers and all the best in the coming year!

Seriously. Cheers to Ted and Kubler for knocking down that wall, and cheers to Zman, Peter, Leopold and DP for taking advantage of that development and putting excellent Absinthe on my shelf! That was definitely one of the highlights of the last decade.
Patlow
Yes! Cheers! Thanks to team Absinthe in USA.

The real heros are the absinthe drinkers who provide a maket for the producers.

This is a time to express gratitude to all who appreciate fine absinthe.
bobt
Cheers, and a safe and happy new year to all.

To the clandestine distillers, to the historians and dreamers who kept the tiny flame burning through the hundred years of night.

To all those who rejoice like this when the light is allowed to shine again.

This is our time. Happy New Year!

Absolutely. Here's to all the fine folks who have supported Pacifique and the mission of Pacific Distillery.
Happy New Year!

Just wondering if everyone here gives a numeric value to zero or if some people actually start counting with one and go through ten when calculating decades? I know I do, but then most people say I don't count.
Steve
The sticklers for that sort of thing say the 21st century actually began in 2001, but that seems so wrong to me.
kaseijin
Cheers, indeed! abs-cheers.gif

Here's what seems wrong to me: 00/00/10.

Can that really be the date for the first day of the new decade?
dakini_painter
To all my friends and supporters! May 2010 be a good year for us all. Listening to some Smokin' Joe Kubek Band (Texas Cadillac album). Drinking some absinthe. Walk it on home boys…

Bonne année 2010 !
Le Gimp
Well, if we consider the death of Jesus Christ as the beginning, then the first year after that is year 1. So we start with 1 and proceed to 10.

0 is not a number. It is a place holder representing nothing.

A wish to all for a happy and prosperous new year.

May the wind be always at your back, your path downhill and the sun shine upon your face. {unknown to me who said it first}

Then you need another numbering system.

I was thinking ~ 4,500,002,010, give or take a few million years.
